Tamatar Keema

Bay leaves are the essential ingredient used to cut the rankness.
Ingredients for 3-4 servings:
2 large onions
½ tsp black pepper powder
2 tbsp oil
½ tsp garam masala powder
½ kg mince
½ tsp red chilly powder
200 gms/1 tetra pack
6 cloves
Tomato puree
8 cm cinnamon, broken into small pieces
6 green cardamoms
2 bay leaves
1 tsp cummin powder
2 tsp coriander powder
½ tsp salt
Preparation: Chop the onions roughly.
Method: Heat the oil in the pressure cooker, burning it if using mustard oil. Add all the ingredients and stir well together. Cook under pressure for 12-15 minutes.
Release the pressure, and continue to cook on low heat, stirring occasionally, for another 5-10 minutes, drying it up or adding a few tbsp of water till it reaches the consistency you like.
